Our firewood is more than just fuel - it’s the result of responsible forestry and local craftsmanship. The fuel preparation process is a family-run operation, led by Joe and his dad.
Raised in a home without central heating, Joe learned from an early age the value of wood as a reliable, sustainable heat source. His dad taught him the full cycle - from planting and growing to harvesting trees for timber - with a deep respect for the environment and a commitment to caring for their continuous cover woodland.
We produce high-quality wood fuel using:

MowJoe's Story
MowJoe is a trusted name in arboriculture and fuel preparation, proudly serving Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. Led by founder Joe Ryall, a qualified and highly respected arborist, MowJoe provides expert tree care and sustainable wood fuel solutions across the South Coast.
Joe began his career studying Countryside Management at Kingston Maurward Agricultural College, where his passion for trees took root. He went on to complete a Diploma in Work-Based Trees and Timber, alongside an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Arboriculture.
Joe’s commitment to excellence was recognised when he became the first student at Kingston Maurward to receive the Royal Forestry Society Silky Fox Handsaws Award. Since then, he has gained multiple NPTC certifications, including:

All our firewood is locally sourced, expertly prepared, and ready to burn. Whether you're after hardwood for a long, slow heat, softwood for a quick blaze, or kindling to get things started, every product is processed, seasoned, and delivered directly to your site - clean, dry, and hassle-free.
From Our Yard to Your Hearth
We deliver all our products - kindling, softwood, mixed wood, and hardwood - in quantities ranging from a single net bag up to full loads of 6 cubic metres. Deliveries are tipped directly at your chosen location, ready for you to distribute as needed.
Our customers consistently praise the accuracy and consistency of our measurements. We take great care to minimise gaps, ensuring that the volume you order is exactly the volume you receive. Many have told us that with other suppliers, they often get only two-thirds of the wood they expected.
Working with natural products means some uneven shapes are unavoidable, but thanks to our strict in-house quality control and Joe and his dad’s hands-on selection process, outliers are extremely rare. Plus, any offcuts or misshapen pieces are never wasted - they are reused to fuel our own homes.
We’re passionate about delivering your firewood in the best possible condition. To protect it from wet weather, we keep it well covered during transport and recommend storing it off the ground and sheltered to maintain quality.
